The President of the Scientific Council (SC) of the Hellenic Foundation for Research and Innovation (HFRI), Professor Xeni Chrysochoou, welcomed today, Thursday, 25 July 2024 at the HFRI, the Chairman of the Special Standing Committee on Research and Technology of the Hellenic Parliament and Member of Parliament for the 1st District of Thessaloniki for Nea Dimokratia, Mr. Stratos Simopoulos.

This visit affirms the Committee’s commitment to monitoring scientific research and innovation developments. The Chairman of the Special Standing Committee on Research and Technology of the Hellenic Parliament, Mr Simopoulos, after a tour through the premises of the HFRI and being informed by the President of the SC and the Administration about the work of the Foundation, stated that: “As Chairman of the Special Standing Committee on Research and Technology of the Hellenic Parliament and in the context of the planning of the Committee’s activities for the period September 2024–July 2025, I visited the HFRI to learn about the scope and results of the Foundation’s activities. I believe that the HFRI should be given further support so that the public sector can benefit from the expertise acquired by the Foundation.”

The President of the SC of the Foundation, Professor Chrysochoou, stated, “It is a great pleasure to welcome to the HFRI Mr. Stratos Simopoulos, Chairman of the Special Standing Committee on Research and Technology of the Hellenic Parliament.
