Sharing the hope that “TOGETHER we are MORE POWERFUL than breast cancer”, the Hellenic Foundation for Research and Innovation (HFRI) participated on Sunday, 29 September 2024, in the 16th Greece Race for the Cure®.
The race, an institution against breast cancer, was the reason thousands of people gathered in the center of Athens to support the work of the Hellenic Association of Women with Breast Cancer “Alma Zois”. The 16th Greece Race for the Cure was co-organized by the City of Athens’ Culture, Sports, and Youth Organization (OPANDA), with the support of Think Pink Europe®, aiming to promote prevention and early diagnosis of breast cancer, as well as patient empowerment.
HFRI employees, wearing the collectible T-shirts, took part in the 5 km race and the 2 km walk to contribute to raising awareness and promoting breast cancer awareness, as well as to support the implementation of programs of the “Alma Zois” Association.
HFRI’s participation this year was dedicated to the memory of Christina Fokas, Deputy Administrative Director of the Foundation.
