A hybrid event will be held in the framework of the research project “Surge Protection of Overhead Transmission System (SPOTS)” and under the auspices of the High Voltage Laboratory of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (AUTH), on Wednesday, June 26, 2024, at 16:30 in the Conference Room, located on the ground floor of Building D of the Faculty of Engineering of the AUTH.

The event aims to present the research results of the SPOTS project. It will, therefore, provide an opportunity for a fruitful discussion on the lightning protection of overhead power transmission lines, which is expected to constitute the basis for further research.

The research project SPOTS is supported by the Hellenic Foundation for Research and Innovation (H.F.R.I.) under the “2nd Call for H.F.R.I. Research Projects to Support Postdoctoral Researchers”.
