Press Release: Memorandum of Cooperation signed between H.F.R.I. and Texas A&M Engineering Experiment Station

The Hellenic Foundation for Research and Innovation (H.F.R.I.) and the Texas A&M Engineering Experiment Station (TESS), an engineering research agency within the Texas A&M University System, signed a Memorandum of Cooperation on Wednesday 4 October 2018, aiming to further develop the fruitful collaboration between them and boost the research conducted by Greek scientists.

The Memorandum of Cooperation was signed by Dr. Dimitris Lagoudas, University Distinguished Professor, Senior Associate Dean for Research, Associate Vice Chancellor for Engineering Research, Deputy Director, on behalf of TEXAS A&M Engineering Experiment Station (TEES) and Dr. Nektarios Nasikas, H.F.R.I. Director.

A number of distinguished scientists from the Texas A&M Engineering Experiment Station (TESS) participated in the event dedicated to the signing of the Memorandum: Dr. Eyad Masad, Zachry Professor, Executive Director of Global Partnerships, Texas A&M Engineering Experiment Station; Dr. Ioannis Economou, Professor, Chemical Engineering Program, Associate Dean for Academic Affairs, Texas A&M University, Qatar; and Dr. Nikolaos Michailidis, Research Professor, Texas A&M Engineering Experiment Station, Professor and Chair, Center for Research & Development on Advanced Materials (CERDAM) – Joint Initiative between the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki and Texas A&M Engineering Experiment Station (TEES). The attendees on behalf of the H.F.R.I. included Professor Xenia Chrysochoou, Vice Chair of the H.F.R.I. Scientific Council, and Ms Maria Masaouti, Deputy Director of Research Projects.

This Memorandum of Cooperation expresses the will of both parties to expand their cooperation, aiming to support quality research and international scientific activities. The H.F.R.I. in particular aspires to boost the international interconnection and activities of Greek scientists.
