The Vice President of the Scientific Council of the Hellenic Foundation of Research and Innovation (HFRI), Costas Charitidis, has recently been elected as a member of the governing body of the Association Delegation of IAM-I (Innovative Advanced Materials Initiative), representing the Research – Universities.

The first General Assembly, during which the governing bodies (Executive Board and Association Delegation) were elected, took place on 31 January 2025, with both in-person participation at Warwick in Brussels and online attendance.

IAM-I aims at establishing and maintaining a cross-sectorial, multidisciplinary, collaborative Europe-wide Research and Innovation ecosystem that will significantly accelerate the time-to-market of sustainable innovative advanced materials (IAMs) and associated technologies designed for a digital circular economy.
