Following the decision of the 173rd Meeting of the Scientific Council of the Hellenic Foundation for Research and Innovation (HFRI), which took place on Wednesday, January 24, 2024, it was unanimously decided to elect Konstantinos Charitidis, Professor of the School of Chemical Engineering of the National Technical University of Athens, as Vice-President of HFRI’s Scientific Council for the remainder of the term of office of the Scientific Council members.
Professor Charitidis is the founder and head of the Laboratory of Advanced & Composites, Nanomaterials, Nano-processes and Nanotechnology and a collaborating faculty member of the NCSR “Demokritos.” In his extensive research experience in the fields of materials science and technology and nanotechnology, as well as research ethics and integrity, he has been involved in over 70 projects, mainly funded by the European Commission. He has published over 210 scientific papers and is the author and editor of 34 books.
