Participation of the HFRI in the Reception Week of Panteion University’s First-Year Students

Date: October 11, 2023

On Wednesday, October 11, 2023, on a day dedicated to research, the Hellenic Foundation for Research and Innovation (HFRI) as the primary funding institution for basic research in the country, participated in the reception of the first-year students of the Panteion University of Social and Political Sciences.

The President of the Scientific Council of the HFRI and Professor of Social and Political Psychology at Panteion University, Xeni Chryssochoou, along with members of the Department of Research Projects of the Foundation, welcomed the first-year students at the Sakis Karagiorgas II Amphitheatre, where they introduced them to the Project and the impact of the Foundation.

“The events during the reception days for first-year students are an excellent opportunity for them to integrate into the academic community and to learn about the opportunities the University can offer them in their academic and research careers. Since its inception, the HFRI has supported unrestricted research without geographical and thematic restrictions, especially in the social sciences and humanities and arts, which, in the past, have had few funding opportunities. Participating in today’s Event was a great pleasure and honor for the Foundation both because we had the opportunity to get to know the teams and research projects funded by the HFRI with Panteion University as the Host Institution and because we had interesting discussions with the students, which we hope will serve as a motivation to engage in research,” said Professor Chryssochoou.
