Date: June 17, 2022

In April’s issue, the special feature entitled “A new slant on the cosmos”, written by science writer Thomas Newton, refers to current research issues that concern the cosmology community worldwide and are related to the major question of the accelerating expansion of the universe and its interpretation.

Among other things, extensive reference is made to the research carried out in the framework of the research project “Tilted Cosmology” with Professor Christos Tsagas as Scientific Director. The project is funded by the Hellenic Foundation for Research and Innovation in the framework of the 1st Call for Research Projects H.F.R.I. for the support of faculty members and researchers and the procurement of high-value research equipment.

The reporting of the research results in the internationally renowned journal is a recognition of the significant contribution of the research programme to scientific knowledge as well as to the information of the society as a whole.
