Christina Foka

Christina Foka studied Economics at the University of Athens and received a Postgraduate Diploma in Economic History from the Department of History and Political Science of the Panteion University of Athens.  She worked as a Financial and Administrative Officer for companies of the Private Sector until 1995 when she started working in Hellenic Pasteur Institute. Her next step was the General Secretariat for Research and Technology (GSRT) where she had been working for ten years as responsible for handling the Administrative and Financial Issues of the Research Institutes. From the beginning of 2013 until 2015 she was responsible for supervising the administrative, financial, institutional and management issues of the Hellenic Pasteur Institute as the Head of the Office of the Director General of the Institute.

She worked in the Office of the Alternate Ministerof Education, Research and Religious Affairs as a Scientific Advisor responsible for research and technology Institutes and research ecosystem issues in general since March 2015. Meanwhile, in 2017 she took over the coordination of theAlternate Minister Office’ s issues.

In April 2018, the Scientific Council of H.F.R.I. approved her election as the Alternate Director for Administration and Alternate for Director.
