The Hellenic Foundation for Research and Innovation (HFRI) announced today the 1^st Call for the
support through research projects for Faculty members and Researchers working in the Greek
Universities and Research Centers along with the procurement for acquiring strategic research
equipment.
The main goal of the Call is to support the implementation of research projects selected after a
competitive procedure based on scientific merit and excellence.
These projects will be carried out in Greek Universities and Research Centers and are expected to
reinforce and enrich the research activities, already undertaken by these institutions, with the support
of the existing research staff and infrastructure.
The overall budget reserved for this Call is 53.000.000 €, from which 33.000.000 € will be dedicated to
the support of selected Research Projects and 20.000.000 € will be available for the procurement of
strategic research equipment. The procurement of this equipment is considered strategic as it is
expected to affect the whole academic, research and scientific development of the benefiting
Institutions.
